Typical example uses of sheet metal Ys and branches
Continuing with this series:
Sheet metal Y's, also known as Y branches or Y fittings, and sheet metal branches are used in ductwork and piping systems to split a single flow of air, gas, or liquid into two or more separate flows.
Some examples of common uses of sheet metal Y's include:
1. HVAC ductwork, exhaust systems, and ventilation systems: they are used to split the flow of air from a single duct, to distribute air to multiple rooms or areas in a building.
2. Industrial piping: to split the flow of gases or liquids in industrial settings.
3. Commercial kitchens.
4. In agricultural, chemical, pharmaceutical, food-processing facilities; hoppers, tanks, etc.
And they can be used in many other ways as well.
